I am absolutely over the moon every time a family invites me into their home for an in-home newborn session. It’s always an honor, and this family’s session was no exception. It was truly wonderful to photograph them and capture the beautiful love between them.
It all started with this mom reaching out after hearing about my photography from a local military moms Facebook group (thank you, community!). She had a clear vision: a very specific photo she treasured from her firstborn’s newborn session. She loved that image so much that she wanted to replicate something similar for her precious newborn daughter, and I was thrilled to help recreate that memory!
With over 12 years of experience as a newborn photographer, I knew that I could capture exactly what she was hoping for.
When I arrived at their cozy home (in Washington D.C.?), I was greeted by a picture-perfect family: a dashing dad, a stunning mom, a super cute three-year-old big brother. And of course the star of the show: their brand-new baby girl, just 11 days old.
Setting up their portrait shoot was a breeze, and when I arrived the room lit up with their smiles. I just couldn’t wait to freeze these special moments in time. Talk about the perfect setup to make for a truly magical photo shoot.
