Retirements and promotions are milestones worth celebrating. Maybe it’s the last salute after decades of service, the promotion you’ve worked toward for years, or the moment your family pins on new rank or hands you the flag. These are the moments I love to photograph.
As a Navy spouse, I know how much goes into getting to this point, and how many people helped carry you there. I’ve photographed military retirement and promotion ceremonies all over Washington, D.C., Alexandria, and Northern Virginia, from the Pentagon and the Army and Navy Club to the U.S. Navy Memorial, and I’m always happy to add a new venue to the list! Along with the formal moments, I capture the proud grins, happy tears, and the kids who can’t sit still.
I’ll quietly work around your ceremony so you can be fully present, then edit every image by hand so your gallery feels just like the day did.
