As a Washington, D.C. senior photographer, it is always such an honor to capture the last glimpse of high school before the next big adventure begins. Every once in a while, a senior session comes along that’s not only fun and creative but deeply personal and inspiring. That’s exactly how I’d describe my time with Jonathan.
Jonathan is a soon to be graduate whose talent, faith, and passion made this unforgettable. He made it clear from the start that he wanted to incorporate his love for the outdoors, his faith, and his sport. We loved the challenge of finding ways to weave all ideas into the shoot in subtle and meaningful ways.
Our session took place in the neighborhood of National Community Church, where he attends, in Washington D.C. It became a dynamic backdrop of urban city life and edgy city textures with his own athletic power as a competitive gymnast.
Photographing him felt more like documenting a story than just taking pictures- and that’s always my goal.
