Sunrise sessions always feel a little extra peaceful, especially in the spring. Emma knew she wanted to take advantage of that beautiful morning light for her senior photos at the Jefferson Memorial. With the warm spring weather and graduation just around the corner, it was the perfect session to celebrate how far she has come!
I love when seniors have a specific vision for their session, and Emma knew that she wanted those soft morning tones. It also gave us some beautiful backdrops at the Jefferson Memorial before all the crowds showed up!
Emma is officially Penn State bound! When we did her session in the spring, I could tell how excited she was for this next chapter. High school senior photos are the perfect time to tell your story, especially with some representation of your future college! Emma proudly wore a Penn State classic crew tee shirt for some of her photos, and it was the perfect touch for some more casual portraits.
Shopping for high school senior photos in D.C. can be just as fun as the session itself! Emma found her cute white strapless dress from a little boutique she found while visiting Penn State, which made it such a fitting choice for her session. She found the long blue and white dress at Altar’d State at Tyson’s Galleria in McLean. The meaning behind the white dress, the colors of the second dress, and the Penn State tee shirt made for the perfect combination of personal, dressy, and casual!
If you’re a 2027 senior in northern Virginia and are starting to think about senior photos, now is a great time to start planning! We can choose a location that fits your style, build outfits around the things you actually love, and make your session feel like you.
Whether you’re dreaming of some dressier looks, your favorite jeans and tee, sports uniforms, or a little nod to the college you’re headed to, I’d love to help you plan it all!
