Brr! It was a chilly morning for Jefferson Memorial family photos, and the crisp air had us all bundled up at first. But after a few minutes of movement and laughter, we all warmed right up. The Jefferson Memorial is one of my favorite spots for family photos- the historic rotunda with its tall columns and peekaboo views of the Washington Monument represent Washington D.C. so well. I especially love that parking is nearby and there’s no ongoing construction, unlike the Lincoln Memorial! Add in the stunning views of the Tidal Basin, and this beautiful location is hard to beat.
Little P completely stole the spotlight during this family session! She was dressed just like a little princess and even insisted that we call her Princess Belle. Every time we did, her eyes lit up and her smile grew even bigger. It was such a sweet reminder of how magical this age can be, and I’m honored to capture those little moments of personality and imagination!
Mom and Dad were glowing too, as they’re expecting a new baby in just a few short weeks- just in time for the holidays! It was such a joy to document this special in-between season for their family as they soak up the last of their time as a family of three. The heartwarming moments in this session kept the cold at bay at this timeless D.C. landmark.
