This family session was so sweet! Grandpa and Uncle were visiting and wanted to get family photos taken of everyone all together. Early morning was easiest since little J is an early riser anyway, and it gave us such beautiful light to work with!
I love when extended family is able to join a session, especially when they’re visiting from out of town. There’s something so special about having everyone together and being able to document those multi-generational relationships. Little J had plenty of attention from everyone, and we were able to get some sweet candids of him with Grandpa. This was the first ever family session for this little family of three, and we were able to get a good mix of photos of the three of them, mom with her dad and brother, and everyone all together!
Mom wanted the session to take place at Founders Park in Old Town Alexandria since it is so close to their house. The weather was beautiful and we had the park all to ourselves! Founder’s Park is such a pretty, underrated spot for family photos, especially when everything is blooming. The flowers and gorgeous greenery gave us the best backdrops throughout the session. And because it’s right in walkable Old Town, there are plenty of little spots to wander around and keep things moving with little ones who love to explore!
