This session was such a joy! This sweet mom and son duo met me at Fort Hunt for an early morning shoot, and the timing was perfect. The leaves were at peak color, and the sunrise filtering through the trees made every shade of orange and gold even more vibrant. The cool morning air gave us that crisp fall feeling, but the warm sunlight kept us warm.
Fort Hunt Park is one of my favorite locations for fall family sessions in Northern Virginia. Parking is easy and all of the beautiful trees give us a wide variety of backdrops without a ton of walking. The beautiful, natural wide-open spaces are perfect for families with young kids who love to run, explore, and play. And the vibrant foliage speaks for itself in these photos!
From the moment we started, these two brought so much energy and sweetness to their session. Between the leaf collecting and their obvious love for each other, capturing sweet candid moments was oh so easy! We ended the session throwing the beautiful leaves, which made for even more fun for these two.
